We are honored to present the estate of Embry Winston "Mimi" Jacobs, widow of William Claiborne Jacobs. Mrs. Jacobs mother was Embry S. Cowan of Louisville, granddaughter of the famed Andrew Cowan of Louisville.

Ms. Jacobs' estate contains numerous items inherited directly along the Cowan line, including sterling silver pieces with Andrew Cowan's and other family monograms, as well as period fine art and antiques.

This is an amazing collection of pieces woven in the historic tapestry of the development of Louisville and the state of Kentucky. Andrew Cowan and the Cowan family's impact on this region was notable, including developing of the Louisville park system and numerous other endeavors for generations. Andrew Cowan's financial success is also reflected in the fine nature of these items including a stunning collection of sterling and coin silver featuring 19th c. Tiffany and other makers as well as numerous Kentucky silversmiths, as well as notable fine art, hand knotted rugs and rare Asian art and collectibles.

Notably featured in this event is an original Henry Faulkner oil painting given to William Jacobs and inscribed "Jacobs", as well as an exceptional 1995 Steinway grand piano.
